Tobogganing in Tyrol

Toboggan runs in the Tyrolean Oberland!

Hurtle downhill on the region’s toboggan runs.

Sledging downhill in a flurry of snow followed by a cosy pit stop is a pure delight – whether it be by day under the shining sun or by night under the floodlights.

Several natural toboggan runs in the Tyrolean Oberland promise pure tobogganing fun.

Pfunds St. Ulrich toboggan run

You should definitely make time for some tobogganing on the 1.1 km lit natural toboggan run at night or during the day. After a cosy time in the toboggan hut, a bit of movement is quite refreshing, with a hurtling run down into the valley.

You can find out the opening times of the toboggan hut from this week’s programme.

Winter hiking & tobogganing to Frudiger

This 3.5 km-long winter hiking route to Frudiger at the start of the Pfundser Tschey mountain valley provides fun for the whole family. Although this route isn’t preserved and maintained as an official toboggan run, it would definitely be a shame not to bring a sledge here.

Fendels toboggan run

The 4.5 km toboggan run in Fendels is a really special experience for the whole family. The start of the toboggan run is easy to reach using the 4-person chair lift. The fun can begin after just a few minutes’ journey time. The toboggan run in Fendels has even been awarded the Tyrolean quality seal for natural toboggan runs!

Tyrol’s longest in Nauders

In the neighbouring region of Nauders, you will find Tyrol’s longest natural toboggan run. From the Bergkastel mountain station, an eight kilometre toboggan run leads down into the valley, providing wintry fun for the whole family. And if you want to enjoy this tobogganing fun of the XXL variety, you don’t even need to climb up the hill: The Bergkastel cable car takes tobogganists up to the start at 2,200m above sea-level.
